A Series I Adore
Do you want to hear the truth about a reader who becomes a writer? Well, the truth is that most of the time, the reader part of that person slowly starts to disappear, and the writer takes over. Seriously. I feel like I’ve barely had time to read for over a year! I’m coming up on the one-year anniversary of my first book going live on Amazon, and I don’t think there has been another year in my life when I’ve read so few books.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I probably still read more than the average person (aka, the non-readers who I know exist but try to avoid). Still, though, I haven’t consumed near enough books and it is a tragedy! However, the books I have read, I’ve genuinely loved, and I wanted to write a post featuring one of my favorite series. Somehow, even with writing eight books this year, I’ve managed to read all the books that Janelle Daniels has put out in the past couple years, including her new Copper Kings series!
If you like historical western romances, you will love both of her series, but I want to feature her newest one in particular. So far there are four books with the fifth set to release sometime this summer. Janelle told me she plans to release six in the series, so it’s almost over (which is the perfect time to start reading a series in my opinion). These books have a mail-order bride feel, but they aren’t true mail-order bride stories as each girl meets and falls in love with a Copper King before becoming his bride.
I love the town where each story takes place almost as much as I love the characters. If you read Janelle’s Miners to Millionaires series, you’ll be familiar with Promise Creek and several characters from that series make appearances in this one as well. Janelle writes sweet, well-developed love stories that make your heart throb as you read, and I’m not just saying that! This is a series that I make time for, and I hope you’ll give it a try!
